I have had issues the OP has posted on with gen 2 Prius, basically a drop in mileage while simultaneously having a battery pack fail and replace. What fixed the poor MPG issue was getting new wheel bearings, not battery. Even poor quality battery packs will still get you MPG in the 40 range.

Ya, I just read it for the first time. What I gather by this whole conversation is sometimes the customer is not right, and sometimes retailers call them out on it. Sometimes customer satisfaction is not guaranteed. Pick who you do business with by how they've done business with.

I'm in on trying to find out new Toyota battery about 7 months ago original in my 09 untouched since rolled out of dealer in 09. Never ever even looked at till mid 21. New install imed return to 47.1 mpg as advertised for car . I am usually driving in situations where ice isn't going to off 53 mph plus. Still 47.1 or so. Even if I'm driving annoyingly slow seeing 53 mph by time to fill up .it's gotten about 46.7 mpg . So wella.
