    Good job frank.

Be careful I have seen a post where a home owner confronted a cat thief and the thief pulled a gun on the home owner.
I don’t doubt it there crazy what there doing almost guarantees a confrontation. Not very stealthy.

    People are very desperate now.

also not sure of the laws in Indy but if no emissions testing replace that cat
ASAP with a cheap after market then sell your oem cat on eBay I got $1350 for mine cleared $1000 after everything so now if they get my cat not out too.much.
Then paint your new cat bright orange with header paint so they may see it’s not the oem cat.
Plus where they weld up the new cat is right where they cut it so my welder put a big collar adapter there so the thief will see that too. Little harder to sawzall through that collar now.

I painted my cat and also placed stickers in the windows stating that the cat is engraved. Actually, not engraving it males it more befuddling for the thieves. They will look forever and will not find it. catalytic converter engraved sticker.JPG view from front.JPG

    The paint is inexpensive.

Sometimes its the home or car owner that pulls a gun on the thief.

This getting crazy this thieves are not only to Prius they up to anything the can get the hand on, I just wake up again couple days ago and two males park a jeep Cherokee next to my van and went walking around parking lot and like 30 minutes later one cc on hand dropped inside their vehicle and out walking again for more while i was watching quite on my window called the police and they come back running but two more cc on hand total of three neither one Prius so they up to anything here apparently they listening to the police scanner because they was in a rush to go after i call the police, interesting now they seem to respect my cars I guess they know they will have a confrontation if they touch my cars, I definitely will not hesitate to stop them if they touch my car, if happens they pull a weapon then I will have to return with equal force but I hardly believe they will do anything else more than running like cockroaches.

Actually you right here there’s not emission test here but I remember one time I installed a aftermarket cc to a Honda Accord (2001) it just give me about 6 months of check engine light free drive every time, change my self 3 times so I believe if I install a aftermarket provably i can expect a check engine light on very soon that will stay on, what is you experience with the aftermarket cc did it trigger the check light?

No it’s been fine for months.

But bottom line is if it throws an emissions code I don’t give a crap.
My crown Vic has had a emissions code on for 3 years
And hauls nice person. Sick of chasing it, does not affect the car at all.

    nice person lol...

when you use a curse word that rhymes with pass it puts up that saying.

From what I am seeing the thieves really don't seem to care about confrontations which makes them pretty scary. Nothing scarier than a guy who has nothing to lose. if you have an oem cat in good condition sell it on ebay asap. It will go wicked fast. Throw in a $125 cat and dont risk getting hurt over that. let them have it.
I got guns too but not going to kill somebody or myself over a cat. I don't even want to get hurt over a couple hundred bucks. Its just not worth it.
I've had alot of pain in my life don't want anymore especially over a car part....

I have a different view I believe they looking for soft targets I believe they don’t want confrontation they just don’t believe people have balls to confront them so if happens someone confront them they drive away, am not looking to do a citizen arrest so am not trying to stop them from leaving all I want is let them know am not the soft target they looking for, simple, all I do is stand outside tell them to get the f??k out while with the police on the phone (my wife) so they don’t take my cc, I refuse to be victimized even if it not worth it, I just can’t see them and do nothing, and believe me I will see them every time, my car are monitored by a security system so not chance I will not wake up if they just go around my cars, I have to do something like you suggested but until then I keep my eye open.
