Engine wont start, all lights light up on dash. Christmas tree effect

Description:

1. Turn car on.

2. All the lights come on. No key light.

3. Car wont go into forward or reverse, and only sometimes in neutral.

4. Engine wont start


What I tried:

1. Jump starting, both with a JNC blue jumper thingy, and with another car.

2. Tried using the second FOB (key).

3. Previously, when I had this problem once (which cured itself magically), there were no codes on the ODB-II scanner, so doubt they will be there again.

4. Battery is a few months old, but since I jump started, figure this isnt the issue.

 

1. Since I already killed the battery , I could only get headlights with jumpers attached, but with jumpers attached, the lights did work. Do I need to charge and test this again using car battery only (no jump)?

2. "If no headlights then the 12 volt buss has issue. Get a voltmeter and check for 12 volts at the front jump post under the hood. But sinc3 you have dash lights my best is the hybrid battery has failed." - So you mean I am just checking to see if 12v battery is good? see #1. Anyways more on this in a min.

3. There is no red warning (battery dead) on the LCD

So, I want out the next morning, put jumper on again, and all warning lights came back on like usual, but then I pressed the button a second time, and magically it started working. I need to figure out what is wrong with this so I can sell it ASAP, but not as a lemon. I'm just going to go back to a late 90's Civic in the end.

Next I took it to the car store and bad 12v, so not sure why I couldnt jump start, unless the jump starter was too weak, but that doesnt make a lot of sense. Guess the jumper could have needed a recharge too, but hmmm.....

Now I got it running, and throwing a bunch more codes (ABS, VCS, yellow circle icon), which im going to reset after new 12v battery put in (Optima this time).

Also, O'rielys had a tester and ran a hybrid battery check, which showed 16.7V on all banks/cells, so that looks good!


I owned if for maybe 20k miles , and at around 175k total currently, with original hybrid battery.
