I have a 2010 with 160K miles. Recently the daytime dash lights seem to have gone out. I can see what's happening fine at night, but during the day they are very hard to make out. Any suggestions on how to get my dash visible during the day?

There are no error codes popping up. I have no idea where even start looking.

is the dimmer switch working properly?

not sure if it affects the dash lights, but make sure the gps is set to daytime

Are you sure you have turned the brightness dial all the way to the top? On the Gen 2, at least, the dial will turn easily until it's almost at the top. Then there will be some resistance, which makes it seem as though you have reached the top, but turning a little harder will overcome that last bit of resistance, and there will be an audible click, to tell you that you have reached the maximum brightness. Just after I got the car, I was afraid of breaking something, so I spent the first few days not being able to see the speedometer, but I believe someone else in this forum encouraged me to turn the switch a little harder, and voila, the dash became bright enough to read in the daytime.

Y'all nailed it! It was the dimmer wheel. It took a little extra effort, and it clicked into place and the dash lit up. Thanks for the help
