In the Prius, I don't believe there is a need to "inform" the ECU of anything. It just takes a couple of weeks to figure out there's been a change and recalibrates itself.
That is quite normal and it can also go up one more bar which is also the same colour. Most people see that colour as green. When that top bar is full the battery is at its maximum of 80% SoC. So, no need to worry about that.

    That’s bright green not yellow.

you have a lot to learn about a Prius. Stop posting and start reading.
Read all the posts In the care and maintenance forum and all the hybrid battery posts there’s hundreds of those.

if you have a question use the search forums link up top and search what you want to know.

:ROFLMAO: To those of us who do not have that color deficiency condition, it is green. I'm sure we all have our own blind spots, though.;)

I am colour blind as it happens. Very difficult with anything green.

I never noticed that aux battery read out.
I searched for the original receipt and found it had one month to go on the warranty so took it in and without quibble, they dropped in a nice new one.
So it was a good shout. Thanks for that.
