    Asking for someone else...
Cat converter stolen from Prius+ 2012 model.
    Happened this morning.

I rang around and the only answer I get is: you can ONLY get from the main dealer.

Any advice where I can get (in the UK)?

Aside: from the research I had done before... this model wasn't the same as other older ones and the cat converter didn't have the special materials the others did. What a horrible crime - nasty thieves coming to steal from the poor. The worst possible human being ever.

I had difficulty finding a US parts store that shipped internationally, but found one!

    https://www.pitstopauto.com/Catalog/FeedPart?part_id=323392&vep_id=19215925&gclid=Cj0KCQiA1KiBBhCcARIsAPWqoSo5UcLiL5Zvhpa71_DH1efN60hUlQP0MbubFwfiEz5Upun2ChYdFx8aArlfEALw_wcB

I would search locally if possible the manufacturer seems to be Catco part 118756-07874860.

Another manufacturer is Walker Ultra Direct-Fit 16649
2012 Walker Exhaust 16649 Walker Ultra Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters | Summit Racing

They hint they do international shipping.

I do not know if local laws prohibit aftermarket cats, like California and New York do.

In the UK, car parting operations are called 'breakers', right? (They are probably buying some of them from the thieves, but suspect you understand that.)

    HAS to be UK.
Buying something that expensive and huge in size will cost half as much more with customs and tax.

+ If there's something wrong with the part - then there's no taking back.

Breakers - not sure... they saw off to steal. So, breakers, if they have, won't be stolen ones. (Just making an educated guess.)

I don't think there's much choice other than go to the dealer - which in turn means just making an insurance claim.

Hoping someone else has a bright idea to suggest?

The person whom they stole off... really can't afford to make the loss. They drive Uber - but haven't done any work since June last year because of Covid. It's the last thing in the world they needed in such a desperate time. These people are just evil - stealing from the poor.

If a cat was sawed off, leaving the connections to downpipe and mid-pipe intact, a replacement (recycled or stolen) can easily be sleeved back on.

I made a submission to a few break yards online.

We've got some quotes. Cheapest was £370 for the part. Upto £800. One option is £650 - collection of vehicle and install. Most likely will go for that one.

For my Prius, when the b****rds stole, they ripped out - not caring for the O2 sensor.

One of the companies called, said they get £150 for the cat converter. How sad. How pathetic.
