Popup Ads When Leaving Pages?

    I rove while covering 4 different offices, which means I use 2 Wintels and three IOS devices....sometimes behind a VPN and sometimes not.

    I don't have time for ad blockers......I just mash (or poke) the "X" and get on with my life.

    True, but this pop-up is getting tiresome. First visit this morning (on iPhone with unfiltered Safari), had to click the X.

    And that could happen again at any time......because the intermediate host, like this one, has no control over what comes across.
    Which is why I am using AdBlocker Plus with Chrome and see none of that.

    Last year the things would block the whole screen with only an OK button forcing a restart of the program or a reboot

    Those pop up ads have really outlived their welcome. One of the site “sponsors” is rogue. :mad:

    No. Danny is in charge with dealing with the pop-ups. I have noticed them on mobile as well. (same full screen ones as posted here)

    For those who see ads pop on the phone, are you using a phone browser or the PriusChat app? On my Android phone with PriusChat App, I have never seen any ads. I have never used a phone browser for PriusChat, so I don't know what that would look like, but on my Windows10 or Chromebook browser with Ad Block, I have never seen any ads pop-up either.

    There is no Prius Chat app for iOS. There's another app that has a name I forgot. It is sort of a multi-purpose tool for forums. I tried it and it was a pain. I see it in some of the comments here on PC. For me, I just don't do forums on the phone. Too many things detract from the experience, the small screen being a primary.

    Aha, that explains why iPhone users are using web browsers. Yeah, I don't use the phone app to write comments, but it is easier to browse than using a laptop. Also, for me, it is the only way I can send PM to someone. My account stopped PM functions on a browser some times ago, but I can still send PM from the phone App.

    I’m mostly on phone these days, occasional on pc, especially for uploading PDFs. Should upload them to Google drive I guess.

    Yeah the PM still isn't working. Apparently Danny is working on a major site upgrade so that's why he was letting the PM thing slide.

    Good to know he's working on it. I hope the new version will allow a choice between ads and subscription (assuming the subscription would be affordable).

    And getting the store operational would be a real plus. :)
