It's worth knowing that the car can set these INF codes in two stages. You can see that the 526 code doesn't really tell you anything specific about where the leakage is.

In normal operation, you can think of the car as kind of keeping one eye out for signs of insulation leakage, and if it spots any, it isn't able to tell exactly from where. So it just sets P0AA6(526) at that stage, as sort of a "note to self: saw some leakage, watch closely next start to catch where it's from". So the next time the car is started, it sees that it already has recorded a P0AA6(526), and says "oh, right, I need to watch closely now for where that leakage is", and after figuring that out, it will set one of the other three specific codes.

So sometimes you can connect a scan tool and see only a P0AA6(526), which doesn't tell you specifically where the problem is, but all you have to do is not clear that code and after the car's been turned off and restarted, scan for codes again and one of the specific subcodes should also be shown.

I read something from Hometown Hybrids I think, indicating there are sub codes that the mechs don't even look at sometimes, and that they can point towards a specific area, I should probably ask them to provide me with that. ... I'll do some more research and check out the other info noted. Can't thank everyone enough for the assistance, its VERY much appreciated.

So I did purchase an OBDII scanner that's ok that site, it's the black BAFX one. Got it for Android and also bought torque pro but when I tried to use it, it gave me some kind of error saying it couldn't read any codes. Once I get the car back home I'll have to try it again, I may have done something wrong. I assumed maybe it wasn't reading the codes because I couldn't get it to "Ready", but I wasn't sure.
