Inverter and Battery for 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid replacement

    I have a 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid and took it to the dealership for service. All my lights came on and said there is a hybrid malfunction. The repairs for the battery and inverter were almost 8000. I just bought this car 7 months ago from a place called shift which is a used car service. I am under no warranty. Mileage is at about 150000. Any suggestions on what I can do? I’ve tried to see about the recall and my car was not listed for it. HELP! PLEASE! :)

    Dealerships, or as we call them Stealerships are sometimes criminals when it comes to older cars... I've fixed many a Prius just like the one with the problems you have for less than $500...

    You need to find an honest mechanic who will fix it for as low of a price as possible. Also you or a friend or family member can use this website to fix it for next to nothing if you have the time to learn.

    What do you mean by mileage of "About" 150,000? Because a California car has a 15 year, 150,000 warranty on hybrid-related parts. It's called the CARB warranty. Look it up if your ODO is under 150,000.
