ABS error blink codes.

So I was driving my 2010 and the ABS system error lights turned on traction control and everything, and the regenerative braking turned off. So I pulled over and got someplace safe.

I think I've followed the directions here to get those blink codes with my "advanced diagnostic cable" connected to ports 4&13 (sadly don't currently have techstream).

    This is what I got:
    Traction control:45
    Tire pressure:43
    ABS:42
    Brake system warning:69

After getting these codes it would appear as if the system reset. I'm not currently getting any warning lights and the regenerative braking is back to normal.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

The traction control, ABS, and brake-warning codes are related. The tire pressure code comes from a different computer in the car.

Tire blink 43 = DTC C2143 = the transmitter registered as ID3 has failed / is sending bogus data.

It might be that the battery in that transmitter has finally given out, if it's from 2010. You don't get any obvious indication which corner of the car has the wheel with transmitter 3 in it; if you figure it out once and then keep track of the shell game each time tires are rotated, then you know. With Techstream (or another tool that can read the TPMS data), you can figure out which transmitter is which by letting some air out of one tire at a time, then airing them back up once you've figured it out.

Traction control 45 (no associated DTC) = "Hey, go look at your brake warning code."

ABS 42 (no associated DTC) = "Hey, go look at your brake warning code."

Brake warning (ECB) blink code 69 = DTC C1391= the brake system may have some (internal or external) leakage. If there's no evidence of external leakage, like brake fluid under the car, then it's internal, getting past internal valves and returning to the reservoir. Means the system has trouble maintaining assist pressure. Either the pressure doesn't go up as fast as it should when the pump runs, or it drops back off too fast in between pump runs (or both).

The fortune cookie for that DTC has "accumulator" in it, but that's misleading, because the leaks responsible can be either in the accumulator (a/k/a brake booster pump) assembly, or in the actuator (a/k/a brake booster) assembly, which are two distinct parts in a Gen 3. If that code wasn't a fluke, replacement of at least one of these assemblies might be indicated, after pinning down which one is harboring the leak.

A potential saving grace: The brake system is potentially failing. Sam's Auto can check it out and repair for a decent price compared to a dealer. UNLESS the car was originally delivered after March 2011. If that is the case, your 2010 might still be covered by a special Toyota program that requires a Toyota diagnosis. But don't clear the codes.
