I’ve always loved the Prius since I rode in my friend’s 2008 Prius 13 years ago.

I’ve decided to purchase a 2021 Prius XLE FWD at my local Toyota dealership.

is there anything I should now?

    Thank you!

    Hello and welcome to PriusChat!

It's a bit of a broad question so let's help narrow that down a bit. What are your concerns?

    • The Prius itself?
      • Whether you should get a particular trim level?
      • Whether the Prius is reliable?
    • The buying process?
      • What dealer fees to look out for?
      • Extended warranty?
      • What caveats or holes would a dealer use to get more money out of you?
      • Finance vs. lease?
      • Rates?
      • Promotions?

Yeah, I knew it was a broad question. We did make the purchase today. The XLE trim was the best balance for us. The limited was out of our price range.

I did not know there are reliability issues. I thought they were a good car. Is there something to look for?

I really enjoy driving it and all the technology is awesome. I love Apple CarPlay and the built in wireless charger is cool.

with gas prices rising it will be nice to get such great fuel efficiency.

    Congrats!

They're reliable. It's just a new member usually asks about hybrid batteries and inverters and the Prius is typically their first hybrid vehicle.
