I have a spare Traction battery that I want to have ready for one of my three Gen2s, then recondtios the one removed for the next need. As I have stated in a previous post, this spare has consistantly good voltages on all but two module, being lower by .2 volt (I think, sorry I can't find my record sheet now).
Anyway, nothing urgent right now, but I want to use this Traction battery to learn about balancing and/or rebuilding battery packs. I have been reading other threads on this topic and I am beginning to gather and understanding of the procedure. Early on, I searched ebay for battery chargers and orderd one IMAX B6AC, figuring one would be sufficient for the two modules. I'm now wondering if I should get 3 more as most seem to use.
My question would be, is this the correct charger and should I just add the additional chargers or did I go wrong in this model??
Then, this charger came with absolutely no operating instructions and the hookup leads are for only the charge leads and no monitoring leads or pin connector blocks. I could build something but not even sure how these should be hooked up, since these are labeled, 2,3,4,5 and cells. Just how many cells are in each module? Or should I be concerned with this at all in this case.
Also, I have no information on the programing of this charger, I suppose it is similar to those discussed for other models/mfg.
I have searched this model and haven't found any mention. (maybe I missed it someplace).
Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a quick update. Good news! I sorted through a pile of manuals (my filing system) and found the manual for the B6AC. I did a quick read of that info but probably will still need some guidance on my first time through this.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Something that i would note is that these modules, when charged while not clamped on the sides, will balloon out and become destroyed. The clamping force of the assembled battery pack keeps them from ballooning out when they are charged inside the car.
