Does anyone have a suggestion on how to redo the spoiler(?) so it looks decent? Mine was extremely oxidized and I tried a polish I normally use on paint as well as a plastic polish but it just made it worse.

Has anyone just used paint and put a clear coat on it with shake cans? I think it’s just plastic. IMG_5118.jpg

If you remove it sometimes paint shops will re-do it for cheap because they don't have to deal with the car. Or sand it down and clear coat it DIY style.

    for plastic I use
    plasticx
    and
    bluemagic

you can see the oxidized trim piece (Kia soul windshield trim pieces, notorious for flying off at highway speeds if you don't user 3m super sticky trim tape) vs polished trim piece.

I'm glad you reminded me, imma polish mine now

Do you know if it’s painted? Or is it just plastic. I’m not sure I can tell, I thought it was plastic but I figured the polish would have worked, I did use plastx.

manufacturing at scale is mysterious... paint color and plastic color is optimized in ways they won't tell us about. But yes in general they paint the plastic.

Get some 3m black vinyl film from ebay. Cover it and it will be like new for a long time.
