I just had the car serviced at a non Toyota place and asked them to replace my wiper blades. They came back and said they tried every bracket provided with their top of the line wipers and none of them would fit the car.

Is this normal for the Prime..? Is there something different about the blades that would stymie a major national auto place? If I go to an auto parts store what should I be looking for?

when you buy blades, they have a catalog with make and model and year. then they provide anumber for each side and the hatch if it has one.
the blades are in numbered bins to match.
just for giggles, call some dealers and ask for stock and pricing

PP has a click-on type fastener which is different from the common hook type arm found in many cars. When I first got the 2017 PP, I could not find any after-market wiper blade that would install on the PP wiper arm. I purchased OEM wiper blades from a Toyota dealer. I would not be surprised that non-Toyota service places not stocking the type of wiper blade that fits Toyota. The OEM wiper is very durable and lasted over 3 years for me. I am surprised that yours needing replacement already after two years. I have not found it myself, but there are now after-market wiper blades that can fit on PP. They may be cheaper than OEM blades, but I don't know how durable they are. Many PP owners just buy OEM wiper blade refills (~$9/each) and change it. OEM wiper blades are a bit expensive ($29.99/each MSRP), but you are set for the life of the car if you really have to replace the blade.

    OEM wiper blades are (R: 85212-47130 MSRP $29.99 and L: 85222-47130 MSRP $29.99)
    OEM wiper blade refills are (R: 85214-78010 MSRP $9.99 and L: 85214-47110 MSRP $9.99)

Thanks everyone, this blows my mind, that the Prime would have blades you can only get from Toyota.

Mine are streaking a bit, which is why I wanted new ones. They'll hold out a bit longer, it's not awful, that's just usually the point I buy new. I guess the next time it goes in for maintenance I'll ask them to replace them.

Odd that you need new ones already. Mine lasted four years and so did my wife's on her 2017 Prius. I got new ones for her at the Toyota dealership in Mansfield, OH when we were up there in October. I got mine sone afterward at the Toyota dealer a couple miles from us. Both places had them in stock. The only eyebrow-raiser for me was when we tried looking for blades at a couple auto parts stores in Mansfield. One of them said, "Prius? Is that a Honda?"
