My son actually put this one on our 2010....which he drove a lot during his high school days ( pre COVID ). In fact, his friends gave it to him! However, he said that the more his friends rode in the 2010...the more they liked it! Even his 'pickup truck friends' (y). When they joked with him about it, he would always give them crap right back about how much they were spending on fuel.

I'm really looking forward to the electric pickup truck conundrum from the diehard diesel heads. (y)

They are already raging that the normal looking EV Pickup has a 150 mile range but the ugly one they don’t like goes 300+ on the same battery

I finally managed to beat 15 mpg in my ZR1...but I had to keep it under a 150.

I'm in Australia. The kit was already fitted to the '06 Prius when I bought it second hand. My next upgrade with it will be to build the extended range battery out of LTO cells and do away with the traction battery altogether. This will greatly improve the capacity for regen, the long downhill run into Adelaide has the original traction battery full and the regen cut out about half way down, so it would be good to be able storing all and use it for pure EV driving in the city. The other benefit will be the capability to use the EV fast charging stations for a 15 min recharge to get back home.
Sorry for dragging this off topic, please return to normal transmission
