Your 3725 dealer discount is great with the toyota rebates going on! Just need the military or student rebate to top it all off. :p

I am thinking of purchasing a LE here! Do you know besides the dealer processing fees ($500) whether Catonsville tacks on anything else?( besides tag and registration). TY!

Hi! Thanks to bisco I found your post, just curious if they gave you a hard time about the uber discount? Also, does it impact insurance at all (if you have to register the car as one that you plan to rent out/drive for ride share) or do you just never register it because you don't actually intent to use it for that purpose?
Also, I'm also a woman buying a car by myself and was wondering if it was difficult to negotiate a bigger dealer discount?

Last night I traded in my 2020 Limited for a 2021 Limited with alloy wheel locks and door edge guards. The dealership, Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethesda, matched my offer from Carmax, and I used the equity as down payment. Carvana actually offered $2k more, but I wanted to get it all done in one transaction and I was very pleased with the overall offer from the dealer:

    MSRP: $35,433.00
    Rebates: $5000
    Sale Price: $27,698.09
    Taxes: $491.89 after trade
    Tags: $351
    Processing fee: $500
    Total: $26,620.79

This was the easiest, most hassle-free car purchase I've ever done. There were no surprises, and everything was done over text/email, allowing us to drive down to Bethesda last night to complete it and drive it home. From deciding on the car in the morning to confirming that I was on my way to get it by around 3:30PM, it was a quick process. I think the best part is that this car seems to have been just delivered a few days prior! I had been inquiring about a Limited in Blue last weekend, but on Monday I noticed that they now had a Limited in Titanium Glow that wasn't there just a day or two earlier, so when I asked about that one instead, the internet sales person wasn't aware of it and said they would have to find one!

I mostly like the changes from the 2020 to the 2021, except that the center console now is very shallow! I already didn't have enough room in the '20, but now for some reason there is even less room for storage. Also, the all weather mats don't include a trunk liner. I'm going to have to get one.

I negotiated via text or email only. I just kept telling them it was too high. No hassle at all for Uber discount. Just had to show them a screenshot that shows I am active (it takes a day or so to get the Uber account set up), and fill out a form at the dealership. I did NOT mention the Uber discount until I had my best deal.
idk about the insurance thing for Uber. Doubt I will use it, might do the Uber eats.

Hey y'all, first post! I lurked here a bit before I made my purchase. Got mine delivered from Santa Cruz Toyota this week.

    2021 LE
MSRP $29474 (all-weather floor mats included)
    -$5000 rebate
    -$3145 dealer discount
    $21329 sale price
    +$120 doc fees, etc
$21439 "OTD" (not exactly, I'll explain)

By the time you factor in the federal rebate (-$4502), the shipping cost (+$1295), Texas TT&L (+~$1400), and financing at 1.99% for 72 months, my total cost is almost right on the dot at $21K. Not too shabby!

I am looking to buy a new car in the Bay Area/Santa Cruz as well. Can you suggest any dealer/salesperson name? I'd love to get a similar deal at the Santa Cruz Toyota dealership :)

It was! Haha yeah we were on a time crunch and we’re getting pretty frustrated with all the waiting. Still would do it again for the incentives

I noticed in your quote they didn't include the CA clean air discount ($900). Is this rebate not valid anymore?

I think since I was registering the vehicle in TX that I was not eligible for CA state incentives. (I also didn't have to pay CA sales tax on it).

It's still valid. It's only at participating dealers, but Santa Cruz Toyota is a participating dealer. I hope they're not stealing the rebates for themselves.

Ah, just read the details of this. Yeah, I'm not a CA resident, so it doesn't apply to me. If you are, get that shmoney.
