Long story flew off the road got air and landed safely. Tire popped and bent the rim. I put on the doughnut and drove home with the steering wheel pulling a bit to the left. A few blocks away from my house the car started shaking and lost all power. I floored it and the engine did not rev up. My RPM gauge was at 1,000. The battery drained fast and I was only able to maintain 30 mph at best. I came to a stop sign and the engine revved high when I gave it gas then suddenly the rpms fell again. Turned off car and went around block and it did not happen. This is scary because the speed limit in my streets are 55 mph and cant afford this to happen again. I am not sure if this is related to the crash but a few days ago I had codes for the throttle body and accelerator position. The car has revved up a few times up to 2500 rpm by itself when at a stop sign. please help

    You crashed !
    Too many variables.

The lead is after you crashed, you jacked up the car, changed the tire, drove a few miles, engine died and battery system took over.
Before the battery system completely failed, the gas engine began to work normally but intermittently?

And RPM gauge.... Not sure on your model; is this an aftermarket gauge?

Yes those two error codes could cause throttle issues.
Charge up your 12v battery, fix those codes.
How you fix the codes? Service manual and DIY, guess and throw parts at it, repair shop.

I'd start by re-reading the codes and writing down the actual code numbers and then look at the electrical connectors and test the components the codes refer to.

    Crashing sucks.

    Report back and good luck.

    Specifically, what were the codes?

Yes, I as using a after market gauge cluster that connects to the OBD2 port. So my gauge cluster only works when it wants to. It had a better chance in the Am when I start it with the high beams on. What happens was I took it for drive and this time I seen the traction control light blinking. Traction control was turned of buy putting the Prius in diagnostic mode. The car accelerated fine when it was off. As soon as I took off the spare tire and put a regular tire the problem went away! I used a spare in the front before but did not have this issue. Very strange. The ICE codes did not come back yet

That's why it can be a big timesaver to be sure to write down what the codes are before clearing them. Sometimes luck favors you and they come back quickly, but not always.

Mystery solved. We were experiencing similar issues when I inadvertently put 2 new tires on the back of our Gen 2 that were a different size than those on the front. Matching the front tires to the back restored the car to normal operating mode. Unfortunately, I had to replace 2 front tires that still had a good amount of wear left.
