I was looking into this, and read some experienced it being somewhat slow to respond. Have you experienced this? Or is it as flawless and fast as if it were plugged in?

It’s as flawless as plugging it in directly, so long as your phone is not currently connected to an existing WiFi network, in my experience. The wireless connection process adds about 5-10 seconds to the connection process. First the gadget connects to the car as if it were a phone, and then your phone connects to the gadget.

I use it every time I drive, for six-plus months now. Would never go back to plugging in manually.

Picked it up! works as you said : ) I was able to find one on Amazon for a little less MSRP, applied the coupon code, and used my Prime cashback / points to get it for "free".

The experience is the same as wired except for the start up 15 seconds-ish load time, but that's barely noticeable tbh.

if I can make a suggestion in this respect, try Turo. It’s basically AirBNB for cars — owners renting their own vehicles out. We were primarily looking at two vehicles before we chose the Prius: the Prius, of course, and a Chevy Bolt. In Seattle there’s a car share service (GIG, run by AAA) that uses Priuses exclusively (XLE), which prior to owning a car we used a lot. For the Bolt, we rented one through Turo.

Actually have an upcoming trip (first post-vax trip!) planned, and am renting a Prius Prime through Turo. Curious about how I’ll like the plug-in charging, and am also curious how I’ll like the 11 inch screen when using CarPlay.
