Anybody can help to locate that < (-) Negative when Armed > terminal in Prius 2008?
This is in the context of installing Tilt sensor. That one in the middle.
    Thanks

    * for signal wire you can track blue wire from door plunger under the stepper, one of them is the right one.

Examined all and talked to people, Prius 2 doesn't have that (-) terminal so you need to come with extra relay.

Looking forward to your solution on this one! Would really like to have a tilt that can recalibrate when the car turns off. Cheers!

It was my impression while experimenting briefly with that tilt device that it does not "recalibrate" on "ground-when-armed" per se, as in just at the time that ping goes to ground. Rather, what it seemed to do was when that pin was grounded it would continuously zero the tilt angle on a slow time constant (something in the 20-60s range) and then fire on a rapid tilt change. So with that pin set at ground it was possible to slowly tilt to any other angle and it would not fire, but then make a sudden tilt change and it would fire from the new position. If that is correct you can just ground that pin and it will work. However, you probably want to be sure that +12V is only at that voltage when the car is on, otherwise it will probably fire when the car goes around corners, which should flash the door open dash light.

Unfortunately that also means a thief can probably defeat this tilt sensor by jacking up the car slowly. It wouldn't even need to be continuous motion, just angle steps less than the trigger delta, then wait a few seconds before doing the next step.

    Hi Pasadena,
Important update: re testing DUB1 for slow jacking:
I asked my tech friend to test it and DUB1 failed, you can jack doing 1 rotation per sec, and it goes slow and tilt alarm was NOT triggered.
Total jack up time = 1min 30 sec. Not sure how big this time for bad guys.
On the way down with 1 rps we got it triggered, but i'm sure doing it bit slower like for 2 min, will solve this it too.

So be careful, it works perfectly on strong push or shake but could fail if guys will not mind spend 2 min on jacking. it was from Crutchfield
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220DUB1/Code-Alarm-DUB1.html.

I'm moving back to my trusty mercury switch. It's super reliable.

Sad to hear it but not at all surprised. Too bad the device does not work as the manufacturer DEI described it, which was that the negative voltage sets the angle (implying "once"), not continually sets it.

    Thasnk Pasadena,
Yes it's sad and match its price ($30 -). I go back to my trusty self made tilt which doesn't have that problem.

Wait, rotation? Was this done using a scissors jack?

Thieves are not (yet) using those because they are too slow and too much work. They have been using lightweight jacks like in this video:

Thieves jack up Honda Jazz in broad daylight and steal its catalytic converter in just ONE MINUTE | Daily Mail Online

By my count in that video it took 27 pumps to lift the car about 1 foot. The wheelbase is about 5 feet. arc sine of 1/5 is .201358 radians, or about 11.5 degrees of tilt at around 11.5/27 = 0.43 degrees per pump. That is less than the 1 degree alarm limit, so I'm guessing that one could pump it up slowly too, but maybe if it takes into account acceleration it might fire?

Yes, we tested on stock scissor jack, after watching video and with my jacking experience I'm sure dub1 will fire as it's bouncing effect on shocks. Will try to find somebody with that jack to test
there is also another brand M507 by <Directed>, not sure if it's different from DUB1 (Voxx).
