Throttle Body Clearning-Remove or Not

    Is there enough slack on the coolant hoses that you can lift it up and away from its seat on the intake, clean both sides? That’s what I’m wondering about.

    it is doable on 3rd gen; enough to even do an intake manifold removal.

    No not enough slack they come up from the bottom.

    yeah if I was going to remove the TB I would also remove the intake too but thats just me.

    I bet theirs alot of gunk in its big tub at the bottom. One or 2 posters remarked about that. There's always oil at the bottom of the TB. I would imagine that tub is full of oil.

    But can't imagine how hard those intake bolts are socked on I would be afraid of snapping them off Toyota puts on big bolts crazy tight on the G2 so there's always that..

    That's too bad. In Gen 3 there's enough hose to set the throttle body down in the next ZIP code.

    I don't think the intake manifold bolts or studs are usually all that big or all that tight.
