This brings NE more into play for certain, but it still seems like they've been less willing to dealer discount up there, no?

I'll assume you are referring to New England, and not Nebraska. I think NY dealers had some decent discounts, and I recall someone did a pretty good deal in VT, can't speak for the other New England states. You could always shop around for the best price. I essentially did the same thing here in DE, where there are no factory incentives. I ended up looking in NJ and MD, as they were the only two states within 150 miles or so that had the $5000 factory rebate. NJ dealers where not discounting as much as MD.

Yes, I meant New England :) It definitely seems Maryland is discounting more than New Jersey. I have been scouring the two states the last few months looking at online inventories. Why do you think MD has better deals than NJ?

Best I could do for a dealer discount in the Boston area in late February was around a $2k which was partially part of their Presidents Day sales.

Got an LE for $21,700 including a recent grad incentive. ($23,700 otd)

Congratulations! Welcome to the club! I have a 2018 and love it. I'm still working on a 2021 deal but hope to have everything finalized Friday. The Toyota promotion went down to $4500 in MD from today but it is still a good deal.

I'm guessing it has something to do with supply/demand but I honestly don't know. I looked in NJ first as it is a bit closer to me, but they didn't seem to come anywhere near the MD prices. It looks like NJ is retaining it's $5k rebates where as MD is down to $4500, but I still don't think it's enough to make up the difference in dealer discounts.

for everyone that's still shopping around, I had luck with the following dealerships:

Maine: Prime Toyota Saco - sales: Shane Pelletier - 2500 dealer discount (very easy to work with - bought from him last year)
NY: Lia of Colonie - sales: Greg Stevens - 2800 dealer discount (other sales rep are not the most responsive)
MD: Heritage Toyota - sales: Will Brown - 3300 dealer discount (they presented a dealer discount of 4300 but they double charge freight)

Got mine last week! Not new to Prius, but new to the Prime.

-Model/color - 2021 Magnetic Grey Prius Prime XLE
    -Msrp - $31,700
    -Incentives - $5,000 Toyota Cash
-Selling price before TTL - $23,493
    -Out the door price - $26,000 7.75%
    -Dealer location - Placerville, CA

I feel like I got a killer deal as it was less than $23,500 before TTL, which is a giant discount from MSRP.

Ya I told a woman in NJ I had offers for $26,700 for a Limited and she said "I don't know how they're doing that ... they hopefully aren't quoting you for an LE."

She's arrived. Transport got it to me same day...Maryland to Indiana. Sadly there's a bit of a minor scuff / light scratches on rear passenger door. Very light and likely impossible for them to notice at loading due to rain at the time. I'm hoping and pretty sure it'll wet sand / buff out, will find out tomorrow from a local shop.

While I'm happy to have it the scuff is just more in a line of unpleasant interactions with Bill Kidds in Maryland. On top of refusing to do the Uber incentive, they then pretty much lied that I could apply for the uber incentive and have it sent directly to me. The saleman, Stan then lied about getting a rear all weather cargo mat in the car as part of buying the car, not in the car when dropped off. Finance person less than responsive and equally less helpful (took days for her to follow up on forms I signed. Lastly about 4 hours after I got a pick up confirmation email I called Stan at the dealer to make sure the pickup went ok. He told me they had not picked it up yet, and he was with someone and would call me back. As you'd guess...that didn't happen.

I'm still gonna try to get my rear all weather cargo mat from these clowns and hold a remote hope that I can get toyota to honor the Uber incentive that I was lied to about. Though I'm not going to lose sleep over these, I just want the scuff/scratches off the car.

Does anyone know if you can apply the Uber $750 to multiple cars (is it $750 per person or per car)?

And is the Uber deal specific to where you buy the car? Or where you register it? I'm registering in NJ (where the promotion applies) but trying to buy in MD where they don't have the promotion ongoing... I'm told that its only where you buy it that matters and since its not a MD offer, it cant be done. Has anyone been in this situation and had it work? Which dealership did you work with?

She's a beaut. Unfortunately the dealer is unlikely to be helpful as they already sold you the car, so there's very little incentive to help you out especially since you are not likely to be a "repeat customer" being in Indiana. Buying a car sight unseen from hundreds of miles away is always a bit risky, but you did get a fantastic price on it so hopefully that makes up for any inconveniences.

Yeah, unfortunately I know that is about right. But I wrote up an email with all my concerns with the process and will be emailing the general and sales managers. If nothing else they deserve to know what is going on.

Do it, and keep us posted! Thats terrible, but congratulations on your beautiful car! I've learned so much and dealt with my fair share of terrible experiences. Particularly with extreme rudeness at Sheehy (I was really shocked), ghosting at Heritage Catonsville (as a result I missed the Monday deadline), and strange negotiating at Antwerpen (their prices got worse when I tried negotiating...I chalk it up to an inexperienced salesman). Had good experiences at DARCARs and Fitzgerald.

Well i have 3 main issues.

    1) wanted the uber rebate. Dealer said we aren't an uber dealer but then went on to say "its not worth our time to wait on a rebate we are giving a great price for this car already". Then said I could get the rebate sent to me personally from Toyota. I have that last bit in an email. I'm pretty sure it is a direct lie.

    2) my cargo mat debacle. Salesman told me that he woudlnt' let the lack of a all weather cargo mat kill our deal. He would make sure one was in the car if thats what I wanted. I did want that. I reminded him several times in email about it. It wasn't in the car.

    3) the scratches. If it were the only issue I had I would be more willing to give some slack here. They are minor and a body shope said yesterday they should buff out, maybe take some light wet sanding. Given my other 2 issues, I'm not getting the warm and fuzzy feeling that this dealer has been 100% doing the right thing with me. I'm not saying they knew or caused the damage but given the other info I have I'm not so sure that they DIDN"T cause the damage and not note it.

We'll see. I"m not losing sleep over it but I'd like to at least try to hold their feet to the fire a little bit.

I'd try GS27 scratch remover, then a glaze, then wax it. Worked for light scratches on a family members car.
For the other issues, continue to pester them and if you don't get a resolution - yelp and google bad reviews. That is likely more impactful than a Toyota escalation.
The Uber issue is complete BS. They send all those types of incentives in monthly and get refunded by corporate. Unfortunately since it did not cost them a sale, they'll continue to do this. That is worth escalating to Toyota.
