Long Story short. Ive been happily stuck with my Prius, 2005. Red Color. Cassette Deck. Wont get rid of said Deck. But may need a new Receiver to upgrade my speakers.

I would love to replace the god awful stock nav unit above all the music stuff. Add bluetooth or aux.

I wont part with the Tape Deck because I have tapes I like to enjoy on road trips. Is there anything I can do to replace the actual NAV Unit above the deck. I never use it. planning some Audio Upgrades like a sub and replacing the factory speakers. But I may need a newer unit to select music.

Is it possible, it it easy, and any recommendations for it.

Are you talking about replacing the 7 button MFD?

If so, I don't know that's possible. At least not easily. I've never seen it done, as it has fingers reaching out everywhere.

I did order new 2 din radio with android COHO from AliEx .. Just arrived yesterday and I am going to install it this week. so far it looks good and the plastics are also good finished, looks like same as in the car.
One think I do not like is that I will be missing that 1din storage with doors under the radio, I think I will later DIY it back under ( cutting and extra drilling but I don't care)

I personally would not tuch NAV unit .. u mean MFD (display that is already there)

We just go with a Garmin unit we pass between cars or our cell phone navigation. The navigation came with the Prius but we have ignored it. I checked once and it still has the original DVD in it so the previous owner didn't bother using it either.
