    Impeach Bush???

I say he goes on the offensive and starts arresting some folks, charging them with passive treason.

Stingers - quick - how many US aircraft have been shot down by them??

But we will agree on your latter point. I wish Bush I would have gone all the way - huge mistake not to. I wrestle with need to have had such a large coalition back then including the Syrians, Egyptians, etc - one of the main reasons we did not go all the way. That mistake was compounded by clinton letting our forces be shot at and the UN resolutions that were brokered after Desert Storm go unenforced (as he did with NoKo and the agreed to framework which Carter brokered - completeling the full cycle of moronic presidents)

So in essence you would have had every sitting president impeached?

    Right, I named THREE.
I am completely fed up with your absolute misuse of "facts". You have NO RESPECT for the truth dbermanmd. I or others have already supplied the proof that the above quotes are LIES but you IGNORE the TRUTH and make up your own "truth". What a waste of keystrokes.

That would interesting. How about active treason...

Start with the NY Times - the editor of the article on SWIFT or NSA wiretaps recently admitted it was an error - thanks guy for puttting us all at risk - who nominated you to make decisions on my security? Start there.

    next,

Take on Murtha for his unfounded statements accusing US troops of commiting murder without having them have their day in court.

How about that state dept guy on al-jazeera last week.... the list could be pretty long.

I would however go after Ted Kennedy and at least get him that trial he deserves for not driving a beetle.. And isn't he on the judicial committee - what a laugh that he represents the dems.

You quote words I didn't use. "Unavoidable," yes. When your enemy operates from within a civilian neighborhood, it's unavoidable that civilians get hurt. It is up to the majority of good civilian leaders in such a community to eject the minority of death-bringing fighters, using your estimates.

"Justifiable," no. That's why war is hell. We've long gone from the time where we fought easily identifiable Redcoats on the open field of battle. Now the good and the bad are homogenized. But it is still a requirement that due care be taken to the extent possible. In the middle of a fire fight, if some teenager decides to hurl his first angry rock, he is likely to die for this minor offense. "Rien n'est parfait," said the fox in Le Petit Prince.

If I were the surviving relative, I'd be overcome with grief and anger, as they are. That this war has gone on 1,500 years is because of an element in their culture that demands blood for blood, not a good tactic for any army because it never ends. During WWII the Japanese beheaded our soldiers and tortured them at will. We dropped fire bombs on Tokyo killing far more civilians than soldiers. But both of us put that behind when the treaty was signed and today we are the best of friends. So with Germany, who was far more evil. The nature of war requires this. It is a discipline that doesn't come naturally among a species where war IS natural.

I don't believe this war is worth it either, but our civilian leadership has determined otherwise. Like the Iraqis I referenced above, if we, the citizens. don't do what is necessary to remove these dangerous men from our "community," then we must suffer what they allow to happen to us. That's what our vote is meant for, not a useless symbol to be squandered on daydreams. Your vote isn't the deciding factor itself. It is just a straw that builds up on the camel's back. We need all the straws we can get to break the back of this noxious animal ruining our lives.

I'm not religious. But Christianity and Judaism do NOT ban killing. The commandment has been improperly translated from the original where it says, "You shall not murder," not "You shall not kill," a profound difference. Both religions allow killing as the extreme punishment, and thousands of years of law-making have tried to find the perfect refinement of this, without total success. When Jesus said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone," he didn't condemn execution, just motive and intent. It should be a rare thing, he suggests, although I find his standard a bit too high. But that's me.....

That's how it works. Somebody is accused of a crime. If it is found serious, THEN he gets his day in court. You know, like that Arch Traitor Clinton. Accusing and conviction are different concepts.

Several military personnel have been both accused and had their day in court. A large percentage of them have been convicted.

But you're right. Murtha, that chickenhawk coward, just loves to dump on the troops he so hates. He has no credibility. Good example of a treasonous swine!

    LATE NEWS FLASH:

It was just reported that a second Marine pleaded guilty to charges arising from the murder of an Iraqi man earlier in the year. Nine personnel are involved in the complaint. Stay tuned.

    Boy, Murtha got lucky here!

Good Nazi concept! I love it. The Jews got rounded up a few years ago for their passive treason of ...... being Jews.

And the best thing is: as of last week this is the law of the land!

(Hint: Got a neighbor you want disappeared? Call 1-800-GET-THEM.)

When Saddam Hussein was running amok in his own country, torturing and killing his own people, I was a member of a local Amnesty International group, writing letters to the U.S. government urging the U.S. president and Congress to stop supporting him, and stop supplying him with weapons and money with which to kill his own people.

I was speaking out against Hussein when he was America's darling, gassing Kurds with America's blessing because back then, Iran was considered the "bad guy." Where were you???

He invaded Kuwait after George Bush Sr. gave him the explicit go-ahead (GHWB wanted an excuse for a war). And FWIW, the stories of taking babies off of machines turned out to be fabricated.

lol. That's easy. The doberman and the rest of the neo-con nuts were cheering Shussein on, because he was viewed as furthering US interests in the region.

The majority of Americans are too smart to give Democrats control of both the House & Senate. Look how badly the Democrats screwed things up the last time they had Congress.

Of course, that's as opposed to the crack job that the Republicans did as soon as they got control of both houses. And I'm sure those same smart Americans aren't the ones who recently relegated the Republican Congress' approval rating to 16%.

Remember the exit polls of the last pres election. The majority of people polled who voted repub thought WMD had been found. Ergo over half of the repub electorate are morons.

I hope they have wised up, but I wouldn't count on it.

Polls smolls, the only poll worth citing is the one on election day, Nov. 7th, 2006, when the people that vote have their say.

In 2004 I bet you were one of those that actually believed the Exit Polls too. You probably looked at Kerry on the TV and wispered hello Mr. President.

Of course the most important poll is the actual election itself. Opinion polls wouldn't be conducted, however, if they didn't have some kind of relevance to the process. And when numerous polls show Congress' approval rating in the toilet, I think there's a pretty good chance that people aren't very happy with them.

There are 222 Republicans, 211 Democrats, and two Independents in the House of Representatives.

Your Dem Party is who America is most unhappy with. The poll that counts happens on election day. My guess is it will end up close to 50/50. I still believe the Republicans will end up with the majority by one or two seats. Remember, liberalism is a mental illness and luckily most Americans are sane.

My Dem Party? Obviously, you don't know crap about me. Just because I criticized the Republicans you made the assumption that I must be a Democrat.

Come on back after you've read my post history and know something about me.

Independance from England, 40 hour work week, child labor laws, freedom of speach, press, and a few others Bush is ignoring, Social Security, Medicare, and many other things too numerous to mention. These are all things that the mentaly ill have fought for and won that all even the sane Americans can enjoy.
