What an upgrade this was. The Prime is so much better. My comma two works better on it. It rides and looks better. It’s an amazing car!

just wanted to share my joy.

I immediately put new Corolla 18s on it. Window tint is coming in a few days.

Congratulations. We have a '17 trim two for my wife with the safety package (BSM, rear cross traffic, etc.) and my '17 Prime Premium. The Prius is absolutely wonderful, especially with the safety package that my Prime lacks. Then I get in my Prime and go, "Oh wow! This thing is awesome." Then I go, "Sure would be nice to hav the BSM along with all the other stuff. And some knobs and buttons, too, if you please."

Not gonna lie, larger wheels look great on Primes - I think it's the design that complements it (the quad LED and the rear spoiler).

Thanks for the compliments. I got lucky and found the wheels and tires local for $600. The wheels and tires look like new.

I upgraded as well from 2017 prime to 2021 XLE. I noticed the car is much quieter, sound system sounds better, and the safety sense is way better. I did notice some of the exterior panels arent bonded as well though

Dealer wants me to trade-in 2018 Prime for 2021 Prime for 0 Dollars out of pocket and + $63/mo on loan. I saw a comparison of 2018 to 2021 Prime on the internet and it said 2018 had 2 traction batteries and 2021 has 3 traction batteries giving the plug-in charge a 35-mile range, though while having 2 electric motors instead of 1 so it competes with the zippier Telsa will probably suck up the extra battery power. Sounds like a BIG cost when comes time to replace the traction batteries - IS IT WORTH DOING THE TRADE ????? I'm happy with the 2018 except for the lousy back seat with the fixed in place console that keeps my German Shepard from laying down (the 2021 console flips up luckily).

    OUCH!!!

All Prius Primes have one traction battery. All have the same EPA EV range estimates. All have two electric motors, MG1 and MG2.

There's a squewed perception of price on this forum. If you're willing to buy remote there are great deals to be had on the coasts. It seems like CA has some license/tax challenges for remote buyers so I'd look to the east. If you look towards the bottom of the "prices paid" topic, you will see.

If you can't buy remote, and you live in "the middle", supplies are tight and dealers are pushing for MSRP.

The real question is what does +63/mo mean. What are the terms of the loan? Generally speaking, when a dealer is focusing on monthly payment rather than price he's trying to put one over on you.

You could always push for a few hundred more on your trade and a few hundred off the new car to offset that increase. I’m my area used Prius prices are through the roof right now. They should work with you especially if you decide to walk away.
That being said, the newer prime has the normal Prius rear seats so you can fit 3 people back there if that really matters to you.

I love the corolla wheels on the prius. I have the same color titanium glow with tinted windows. How did the corolla wheels impact ride and MPG?

I’m not sure honestly. I put these wheels on the 2nd day I had the car. On 100 mile trip I still average 53-60mpg
