Good information, worth bookmarking. Besides the warning lights and trouble codes, are there other symptoms to watch for?

I just received the ZJB notification letter for my 2015. The coverage is good until the later of August 31, 2021; OR 10 years from the date of first use or 150K miles, whichever comes first. Hence for me the coverage will be in effect until 2025.

I cant find this anywhere on the toyota site when I log in and check on my vehicle, but I have a 2013 prius with a little over 100k miles. I got all the lights on mentioned and my obd2 gave me the c1391 code. Is there anyway to check if I am actually covered here?

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am taking my 2012 Prius to get the leaking accumulator code resolved. Hopefully they will cover it.

Thanks for posting!! going to take my car in tomorrow to see if my issue is part of it. my dash lit up a few days ago.

I wonder if I'll run into any issues with the fact that about a year ago I took the factory 15 inch rims off and put on 17 inch rims off a lexus CT 200h? I noticed in looking up parts before finding this thread that there were some parts specific to 15 inch wheels vs 17inch. I matched tire diameter on the 17's so that it was close to the diameter of the tires on the 15 inch but after reading through many threads and hearing about some of the stories in difficulty with dealers....I wonder if they might use that as an excuse?? Any thoughts?

if your CELs don’t point to the zjb then they won’t need an excuse.

I just have a veepeak odb reader right now. I ordered a VCX nano and should get it tomorrow. it's my understanding with that I can use techstream to see the C codes that I'm reading on the other threads. I've been hearing noises when I just press the brake pedal and hold it before starting the car for a few months. then a few days ago the brake warning light, brake system warning light, and the slip indicator light all came on and the regen braking stopped. if that vcx thing and techstream work I can try getting codes before I go to the dealership.

If you're waiting for the fancy gizmo, you can use a short piece of wire and get two digit versions of the brake codes blinked out on the dash lights, so you're not waiting to find out what the issues are.

thanks for responding to my post. I appreciate all the help I can get. i read in other threads where you short pin 4 and 13 and then count blinks. I'm sure there's a thread with detailed instructions but after an hour of reading threads I got frustrated and gave up. I shorted them and nothing happened so I assume there's more to it than shorting those two pins. maybe the car needs to be turned on? I tried pressing the start button twice without pressing the brake pedal. that had a bunch of random blinking on the dash. the slip light was the only one that seemed to be blinking in a pattern. is that the one I count? it just seemed to be blinking 4 times then 5 times over and over. I assume that's 45? maybe that's not the way to do it and maybe I need to jump 4 and 13 and then hold the brake pedal while pressing the start button?

ok, I went back out and tried it again to double-check all the other flashing lights. it also looks like the ABS is blinking 42 and ((!))brake system warning light is 69.

69 on the ECB light corresponds to C1391, meaning the hydraulic pressure doesn't increase as expected when the pump runs, or it decreases too quickly when the pump isn't running, suggesting an internal or external leak somewhere. I think that's one of the conditions the service campaign will cover.

42 on the ABS light just means "the code you're looking for is the one on the ECB light."

My 2012 Prius Plug-in was set to go to shop for this ZJB program. Matched all codes and Lights. When my kid got a callback from the Toyota Corporate that they will not cover, since our Car is a Salvage Title. :(

Does anyone know if there are ways to appeal / protest to get around this ?

In the past, we've been covered and invited for all other Recalls. Airbags issue is one I remember. Never had any problems with the Title status as pre-condition to recall work.

If no other way to work-around, where can we complain CPSC / NHTSA ?

This happened with my prius today. The lights come on and brake assistance is out of service as well as regenerations is not working.
I have 2012 prius and covered until August 2022, but mileage is 159k. 9k over the warranty for this issue, dealer quoted for 3200. Tried to call Toyota Corporate for assistance, result is the same, not eligible and have to pay out of pocket.

Thinking about buying the parts and installing by myself, Toyota parts website has the actuator and the accumulator, totaling around 1400.
