do the Primes really look that different? I prefer the Prime’s rear lights to the non-Prime’s, but otherwise they look pretty similar to me. Definitely a polarizing look.

Side view is about the same. Front and back are very different.

I need to stare at the fronts a bit more... of the side, front, and back, I think the front is the weakest for non-Prime Prii

We can buy ethanol free gas here but it costs about 35% more. Not worth it for the car, ok for small engines.

I saw that! keeping my eyes on the Corolla Cross as it looks like it could be a great vehicle. Of course, I'm still ticked that Toyota didn't bring the Yaris Cross over. They even have a few shots of 'off-roading' in the video below.

Presumably smaller than the RAV4? I don’t see this as a Corolla in my book. I wouldn’t be surprised if they name it something different in the US at least.

They don’t much resemble Yaris and Corolla of yesteryear. Appreciate styles change, but those are whole ‘nother category.

I still like the little XC or XA. The one that looked a bit like a smartcar. Sadly few smaller urban vehicles left in the US.

The Yaris Cross is the smallest, followed by the Corolla Cross, Followed by the RAV4. Makes a nice little range of 'crossover' vehicles that Toyota can fit into their vehicle lineups, depending on the country. The Yaris Cross is NOT coming to the USA...but the Corolla Cross is.

Yes, 175 inches, almost 6 inches shorter, like I said, about the size of my gen 3 Prius.

Japanese media is claiming that the next gen Aqua (Prius C in the U.S., now discontinued here) will have much improved fuel economy due to replacing Nimh battery with a higher capacity Li battery. MPG will go from 23 km/L to 30 km/L (54 to 70 mpg) Japanese cycle.

There has been no significant change in mpg going from Nimh to Li in the Rav4 hybrid, so apparently Toyota can choose to make the change to reduce weight and manufacturing costs and/or improve efficiency.

Who knows what this means for the next gen Prius.

Could this Aqua boost be in related to catching up to the full Gen4 Liftback improvements over the Gen3? The 'c' here didn't even have the full suite of Gen3 Liftback efficiency features.

The Yaris used to be made by Mazda. Did something change that it would even get Toyota technology and quality in it?

    *Yaris Sedan.

The hatchback is still Toyota, especially the Japanese and European models.

In North America, most Yaris sedan models sold from 2015 to 2020 and Yaris hatchbacks sold from 2019 until 2020 are restyled versions of the Mazda2, produced and developed by Mazda.
