I have had this 2007 for 4 years and am very satisfied. Now, however, with 195,000 miles on that original hybrid battery, I am wondering if I should change it. I did a HV battery life expectancy check and found it was at 64%. There have been absolutely no signs of this. I can get 51-52 MPG with normal grandpa driving.

Without going into all the details, we are selling a 2006 that has a lot of issues and has not really been driven in about 8 months. About 6 months before that, we had the HV battery replaced by a Prius shop. I tried to test it with an OBDII device and Dr. Prius but could not get the bluetooth connection either on an iPhone or Android.

Question 1: How bad is 64% life expectancy? When should I be planning to replace that HV battery?
Question 2: Is it worth it to keep the basically new HV battery from the junked Prius even though it is not being used, or will that cause the battery to deteriorate? Thanks in advance!

IF the battery you put in the 2006 was a NEW HV battery from Toyota, then I would swap it immediately and continue to enjoy your Prius. If it was some kind of refurbished battery, then you might keep it as a spare- but IDK how it will do sitting for an extended period of time.

Unless you are planning a cross country drive, I see no other reason to worry about the HV battery in your 2007 until it causes problems (ie loss of mpg, warning lights, etc).

Also keep in mind that the catalytic converter on the 2006 you're looking to sell/scrap can be sold on ebay for about ~$1900+. That alone means you shouldn't accept less than 1500 for the car, no matter what condition it's in.
