    Hi everyone,
The other day I noticed my daily 05 Prius making a new noise. The car is now very loud, it’s almost like I’m driving on off road tires, & as I slow down there is a different sound. Hard to describe but it has a rhythm to it. There are no dash lights, no trouble codes, no noticeable vibrations, shakes, or shimmies. I have 340k miles, I also have Ecopia tires with even wear & 30k miles on them. Thanks everyone in advance

You should check the tires and see if you have a nail/big nail stuck on the thread

It’s not that type of a sound, it’s more constant

Need more details... what corner of the car is the noise coming from? Or is it engine/transmission. Have someone else drive while you crawl around inside and try to isolate the source of the sound.

It doesn’t sound engine or trans to me. I’m calling the shop that worked on my car last & ask what pattern they used to rotate my tires & I am going to try unrotating them.

    Cool.

Were you able to sell your cat? Its worth $1500+.

Take the back hatch out where the spare tire lives may have something loose in there rolling around. While your in there grab a flashlight and look closely in the 12 volt battery hole see if its full of water. The G2's have alot of leaks that's the #1 leak spot.

I still have it sitting in my garage, just haven’t had time to shop prices.
It’s not that type of sound
Oh yeah the 12v battery area is pretty much rotted through, I’m going to work on patching the area at some point
