Had my catalytic converter stolen so I need to lift the carpet to replace the O2 sensor.

All the online info I can find is for the left hand drive version where the sensor wire comes through the passenger footwell. On the RHD version it comes through the driver's side, approximately where there is a black plastic footrest to the left of the brake pedal. I can't see how to remove the footrest so I can lift the carpet and feed the new sensor wire through.

Does anyone know how to remove it?

Should be held in by snaps and will pop off. If you do it right you won't break the snaps. :)

Thought that might be the case, do you know where they are located?

I pried around the edge a bit, it flexed but felt like it might snap the plastic if I forced it.

Just found a picture but I can't post links yet. For anyone else, the snaps are one top, one bottom on the centre line.
