Where to sell '06 that needs battery replaced? (Northeast Ohio)

Greetings,

A search on this forum correctly diagnosed my car's dying hybrid battery before the mechanic did. Given my ignorance of all things mechanical, and the high cost of replacing the battery, I think it's time I found a newer car.

The question now is: what do I do with my beloved Prius? It's a good car, has served me well for the 8 years I've owned it. 2006 with 214,000 miles.

The Prius brand seems to have a lot of enthusiasts ... it seems like there must be some Do-it-yourselfer Prius fans out there who would be willing to buy a dead-battery Prius at a discount and give her some TLC to get 'er up and running again. Are there such people?

Or would I be better off just trading her in at a dealership?

I don't want to GIVE the car away ... The battery and a wheel bearing are the only issues ... If those get replaced, I bet she'll chug right along for many more miles ... so, I don't want to take a pittance for this great vehicle. I'm not sure what kind of price offers I would get. Paid in the neighborhood of $7k in 2012.

What do you think? Where would I find a good buyer? Private buyer or dealership? Where to advertise? I'm in Northeast Ohio, in case somebody knows someone.

It's a sad day, to be thinking of selling my trusty Prius. Been a good car.

I didn't realize when I first posted that there's a whole subforum here for car sales! (Smartphone-only internet user here, didn't scroll down that far)

One follow-up question: if I did decide to keep my car and run it into the ground, could my 2006 eventually be used to donate parts to family members' 2010-2014 Prii? Or are Gen 2 and Gen 3 too different to be compatible?
