2013 fob with ac

    Just purchased a 2013 Prius 5 today to replace my old 2008. Only got one FOB with it. Number on fob board is 271451-5290. Looking at buying one and programming with techstream. I've noticed that this board number shows fobs with a extra button for ac. Will the fob with extra ac button work? Will the ac button turn on ac remotely?

    Is the fob that I have a valet fob and the ac fob the main one? Or does the fob with ac button only work on cars that have the solar vent package?

    the pip has remote a/c, with the fob button. not sure how the solar ventilation works on the regular prius, but if yours doesn't have that, then no, there is no provision for remote a/c

    Sorry to clarify I don't have solar vent system. I believe mine is package 5. Don't think it has any extra add ons

    so the a/c button won't do anything. but idk if that fob will work with your car

    I ordered one with same amount of buttons. Sounds like the ac button would be of no benefit.
