If the drain tube has been disconnected for any length of time, the A/C has just been draining into your carpet ... and wet car carpet and padding smells worse than gym socks.

Did my cleaning today and want to share my rookie experience.

I decide to use the under the dash approach in stead of under the car approach.
The conical adopter fit the evaporator drain hose just barely, you have to plug in all the way before it will seal tight and also hold on tight or the foam under pressure will seep as you pump in.

Also, I was caught off guard when I take out the adopter to reconnect the drain hose, the foam / liquid under pressure gushes out causing quite a big of mess. I was anticipating foam wouldn't liquidity right the way, so watch out for that. Have towel, rags ready underneath to catch the spill.

    Good luck.
