    Any error codes?

Are you pushing your foot on the Brake when pushing the power button?

Otherwise it will cycle through Ignition On mode and Accessory mode instead of Ready.

Here is a picture of my Prius in IGNITION ON mode. Notice the yellow start button? Will be green or off when in READY.

Looks similar to when I swapped the rear brake rotor. Ignition on, car runs but will not go into drive... I did a reset (with the paperclip method) and all was working well after that. Not sure if this will help you out here... See if you can read out any errors.

    Best regards, Nick

If you ever do get out a paper clip (or a short piece of wire) to pursue the "paper clip method"—which the car provides so that you can read trouble codes even though it gets endlessly, endlessly, endlessly mentioned as if it were there so you can mindlessly clear them—I definitely recommend first writing down any codes that are blinked. Be sure to learn the difference between how to use the wire or paper clip to read codes, and the further step that people can use to clear codes when that is appropriate.

Also, I would urge trying to avoid casually referring to a "paper clip method" as a way of blindly clearing codes. Such posts seem to be the way newbies keep getting the idea that that's what it's for.

By the way, when your "car started but will only go into netural and engine will not turn over. a/c runs but not cool", is the word READY illuminated at all on the dash? My first guess will be that it is not.

Usually this is because people buy a YellowTop Optima 12v, which isn't a real battery, it's a fake battery sold by criminals and consumer protection laws aren't strong enough to get this garbage off the market.
