Just Tossing the idea around, I probably will regret it, but I don't really drive my Prius much now, and have been using my C36 202 (which only gets low 20's mpg) but still better than the single-digit V8's, not really in a rush to sell, but no point in having two eco-cars if I do decide to purchase the other vehicle… (Trade-in still is 12,2XX). (Which would leave me with the route of "putting the car back to a "Stock Sport Evolution").
    83500 Miles
I’d like to get 15k obo -As-is. And no, I do not want to part it out. Title in hand.
I could though remove a few parts and subtract the price. (Seats/Intake/ Throttle Body/ Tail Lamps/ Suspensions Bracing)

But if I get something close to the ballpark I will let it go:
83500 (Will go up slowly) not by much. I do not have the stock wheels, or the stock suspension, or stock halogen headlights; everything else will be included.

Sounds like a stretch to get 15k for a 2012 Prius. No pics?

    Bump.

Not my kinda car - but...a seller's market right now.

This is by no means meant to pop your bubble, but if you can get 12k for your car - take it!
KBB for your zip code is $9,500 - $11,000 for a street sale if the car is in near showroom condition - something that a 9-year-old car with 84,000 miles could very well be - but you'd be in the upper 5% of vehicles in this range.

Since you have a certain number of aftermarket parts in the car that people will like more or less as much as you do they will neither add nor subtract much from the car's overall value for the purposes of loan or trade-in valuation.
Some old fart like me might not appreciate the time, effort, and money that you spent in making this car the mobile work of automobile art that it really is. UNfortunately.....people with credit scores in the 800s and/or with the ability to stroke a $15,000 check and THEN pay the confiscatory taxes, title fees, and other stuff are often like that. ;)

'Trade-in' value is for the suckers in the room, since no sane person with title-in-hand should ever seriously consider trading anything in.

The number you should REALLY be interested in is LOAN value, which is the amount that a bank or credit union will lend the buyer for your car. This is the LTV or Loan to Value ratio.
The LTV ratio is always presented in the form of a percentage. Loan value represents a percentage of the value of the vehicle relative to the loan amount. For example, if both the car’s value and the amount you’re borrowing are $50,000, then the LTV ratio is 100%.

Hint: KBB is probably close to the real-world value but let's pretend it's $12,000 for the sake of argument.
If your would-be buyer can find a (probably sub-prime) lender to swing a 120% loan for the presumed $12,000 value of the car then the max loan amount is going to be faaar less than $15k, especially if the lender insists on a real-world loan value which would include TTL - and the last time I checked zip codes that start with "90" do NOT have insignificant TTL values.

    Again....not judging.
    Just helping you manage expectations.
The best way to SELL your car would be to pretend to BUY your car....and see what the market says it's worth.

If it were ME, I'd cast the line out to the deeeep end of the lake, set the drag, make sure that the pole is in a secure holder......and wait.
Somebody out there wants it......and might want it enough to pay 15 large for it.

    Maybe.
If you're not in a hurry to sell - then don't sell in a hurry.
If you were a single car owner - a car accident TODAY might turn you into a car-buyer tomorrow, and NOBODY wants to be a car buyer....today OR tomorrow!

    Good Luck!

I forgot to add the car also has a JL audio Under Seat Subwoofer.
And JBL Club Speakers in the dash.
10,800 is what House of Imports offered me as Trade-in. (since they need one owner preowned cars to resell).
Which I could take off my eyelids/headlights/ tail-lamps/seats I'm still in the green. (Since that wasn't even factored in)

I know aftermarket parts never will give you back anywhere close to what you have into it. So 3-4k for over 8k of stuff isn't bad for someone.

I'm not firm at 15, just make a fair offer and I will entertain it but don't offer me trade in when I can get that and keep my Volks (and just toss on a set of 17" OE wheels.
There did have a two with the sport evolution kit- with 79,900 miles just sold for 15,991 (I can't even find it on the site). If you search archive sales you could probably find it.
(I saw it last week) when I was picking up some parts at the dealership.
