I just put in a new cell in my 2005 Prius. Put everything back together and the car ran great. This morning the car acted like it had another bad cell. Red Triangle and bad performance. I've taken everything apart again and noticed one of the two blue wires under cell 1 is smashed flat. There are 3 pairs of wires blue, white, and black that run under the cells and get clipped on at cell 1,10,15,20 and 28. What do these wires do and could that be a cause of the car issue?

voltage sensing harness... also known as "Wire Frame No2" a part that ranges from $50 to $100 and comes with bus bars. Always good to replace as it tends to corrode where it plugs into ECU and eventually will fry ECU.

Are you sure? It sounds like the temperature sensors to me.

Yes agreed... Perhaps I posted the wrong comment and this comment was for a different post?

The "master warning light" (RTOD) and performance problems could be related to the visible wiring damage, or not. You would need to be able to read what trouble codes are in the hybrid control and high voltage battery ecu's. Otherwise you (and everyone else) is just guessing.
One of the most capable means of diagnosing the car is to get a "mini VCI cable" (comes with a bootleg copy of Toyota's techstream software) from amazon or ebay and installing it onto an old windows laptop. This lets you communicate with most all ecu's on the car, retrieve trouble codes (including sub or "inf" codes that have more info), look at data streams, and perform special tests and procedures.
