Wow, that is a high mileage car. But paying $12K for it seems excessive. I only paid $18K for my 2017 PPP when new. The seller had to be thrilled to get that much for it. Especially knowing it's from CT, he/she can turn around and get a brand new 2021 PPXLE for just $6K more.

210K miles on 4-5 years old car averages about 50Kmiles/yr. My current driving miles are very low, less than 5Kmiles/year. Even if I go back to the pre-pandemic pace of driving, I drive 15Kmiles/yr at most. With the higher than expected resale value of this car, I don't think I will be keeping my PP any longer than 3 years/36Kmiles before trading it.

    What about Tesla's own insurance?

I believe that's for CA. Progressive had lower rates than Geico, so I'm planning on using them for the Tesla. I have my motorcycles with them now.

I've heard tesla parts availability is very difficult, and they can potentially be in the shop for months depending on the repair needed. Basically, pray you don't get hit by someone/have a defect that needs to be replaced

I think another issue is the limited number of Tesla certified shops.
