Do you guys have recommendations on what the speaker upgrades would be? Not looking to take up space with a subwoofer or anything just want to upgrade the speakers a little bit. Do you know the dimensions and how many there are?

    2010, jbl, no nav

Back in my car stereo days we'd always tell people that it's all about adding amplifiers if you want to upgrade. Even a super cheap upgrade of your existing speakers from lowest price online will sound 10 times better if you add a couple hundred watts or more to the speakers via some under seat amplifiers.

Of course these days upgrading to an android bluetooth head unit with steering wheel controls allows you access to all the most advance apps. So my advice is go for the lowest level entry level price of all three of these and then once you're more familiar with how they all work and what will make them better you can upgrade to specific more expensive things that are actually worth it.

As in car stereo sales are an overpriced racket that rips people off if they don't know what they want.

The problem is JBL... if non-JBL new amp and such would be not only better but easier. On mine I have the NAV and SAT, currently no head unit with Android and dual cameras with USB modem capabilities out there with SAT that's SAT, not an SAT app through the internet is why I didn't change the head unit and add an amp.

Plus OP sounds like he would like to go the easier route than amp which I understand, the JBL amp really isn't bad at all and there is no need to add an amp in this case. The only thing I feel will happen is new speakers all around will be installed and will not give the expected results, it happened to me. Since I Overland in my Prius I didn't want to take up space in the rear cargo area and under my driver's seat is one of my inverters and cell phone booster. Under the passenger seat where the JBL and was placed I installed an all-in-one 8" subwoofer in my Toyota Prius, and now my car sounds how I wanted. I'm not trying to win any spl competition's , just have some real thump in my car so when I watch the projector while Overlanding it'll have good bass.

So you're telling me the fronts will handle six and a half or six by nines? And there's a total of six speakers in the car?

close, front 6x9 or 6.5, rear 6.5 only. In all four corners of my JBL with Nav there is a tweeter which makes 8 speakers,

Can you point me in the direction of an upgrade kit or something simple I can click on and buy?

I got the android head unit that matches the car online, it's basically an Android tablet and it matches the dash. That has made the stock normal speakers sound very good, I'm more than happy. I highly recommend this upgrade.

I don't have a photo fully installed but it's the one in the attached photo I took this while installing it.

The radio looks like a good choice. For those of you who did speakers which ones did you order?

Anybody know how many ohms each speaker is so that I can get the correct rating on my replacements?

The markup is high And seller a scum bag but this is what you want. Shop around it's only worth $150-200. It can be found for less. I got mine on eBay for less but didn't see it today there

My local audio shop says they can't put 6x9s in front bc aftermarket has bigger magnets and will hit window. 6.5" conversion kits needed. Wire adapters too. They want $599 installed. I told them no way. I wish there were a kit I could buy. One and done is what I wanna do. I'd buy OEM cheapies but fleabay crooks want a killing for crapola. Begs the Q, what's the max mounting depth for fronts?
