Cleaning Prius Windows

    Ammonia is an absolutely terrible idea if you have window tint film. Ammonia is used to remove window tint film.

    Both the Winnipeg Free Press and the Winnipeg Sun use a soy-based ink for environmental reasons. My fingertips are gray by the time I'm done flipping through all the sections and doing the crosswords. That would make a nasty smeary mess of any mirror or windshield.

    I would not recommend newspapers, Ever notice how the ink gets on your hands when you read them? Why would you want that on your windows???

    To clean inside my windshield, I've found this works best....dry wipe it with a microfiber towel then put 70% alcohol on a towel and rub it all over. Then I clean it with my favorite glass cleaner (I like the Rain Ex brand). Making sure the outside glass is very clean and using a bright light (or cleaning it out in the sun) helps find spots that need extra attention. Our Prius have a long dashboard so it's hard to reach to the bottom of the glass so I use this
