The 1500 cash with 0% interest can only be combined with the 1K bonus cash, not the 4K cash back. In my case it will be better to take the 4K. Of course that depends on them getting back with me soon. I am in Illlinois and not wanting to waste a trip to New York so have been waiting on them to answer a few questions

    Hey All,

I’m about to potentially pull the trigger on a 2022 Limited and just looking for some thoughts and opinions.

MSRP is $36,247, and dealer add on is just a $349 serial etching, they removed all other add ons. Brings me to $36,596 + TTL.

After the $2,000 instant rebate and $900 rebate from California my OTD price is going to be $33,696 + TTL.

Are there any other rebates or incentives I should be looking for? I know some dealers like to hike those back for themselves so just curious and want to make sure I’m covering all bases.

    Thank you!

If you are an Uber driver, you will get $750 discount.
As long as you have an active Uber
driver account, it is good enough

    $21,990.

With taxes, plate, fees, carvana warranty coverage. Came to 24.5k financed lol. $600 up front only....Horrific credit (low 600s).

Monthly payment $530. Never bought anything more than a $5000 car cash and I have some plans to make money with it so I should be ok.

I wanted the leather and that massive iPad thing although mixed reviews.

I could have got same one but light silver and only 30k miles but was about 5k more wasn't worth it to me would prefer higher mileage and discounted price.

Also I am trying to build my credit back up which should help.

No Uber sadly but I did find out that my county offers $2,000 instant cash towards the purchase of a PHEV so I will have that going now.

I’ll be at $31,781 + TTL now OTD unless I can get them to drop off that last dealer add-on (etching).

Doubtful if I can get them to come down from MSRP. They already had it listed for $2,000 above so I should probably just be glad that they agreed to do MSRP at all. Maybe worth trying though.

Man, bought my prime at end of april and just got my registration in the mail on Thursday.

Good news for me was the $600 Maryland registration/temp plate fees I was charged actually paid my Indiana registration. My registration is good until Nov 22. I didn't know that. Several folks had commented on the $600 reg fee as suspicious when I originally posted. Glad that it wasn't a dealer rip off

I'm glad to hear. I bought my PP in Maryland in May and am still waiting on my real plates. The dealer is blaming it on Covid slowing everything down between Illinois Secretary of State and a 3rd party they use to work the out of state paperwork.

Hang in there I was shocked it took so long as well. They kept giving me the same excuses too.

I actually just got my plates a week ago. I ended up calling the DMV and provided my VIN to check the status. I eventually found out that it was processed a couple weeks prior, but after confirming the address on where they sent it to, I found out they ended up sending the plates to the dealership for some reason. I don't think the dealership knew it was there until I called, but to their credit, they overnighted it to me once they found it.

You can also check your registration status here in Illinois online. Just look for the Title and Registration Inquiry page on the SOS website.

No. I was lucky not to pay that. I do not blame Empire Toyota. They made smart and risky business decision to order over 60 Priuses in April and now they are cashing on this. Unfortunately to us (buyers) this is sellers market right now. Currently I am trying to buy top trim Sienna Platinum AWD - dealer's mark up starts from $2K and goes up. And this is pure monetary mark up, nothing is offered to you like "Corrosion protection" or "Xzillon protection". Many buyers are competing for decreasing stock of 2021 Pruis PP that for the 3rd month in a row has $5K to $5.5 Toyota incentive and $4502 possible Federal Tax Credit. Even with $1490 paid for both "protection" this is a good deal.

I received no dealer discount for buying my 2nd Prius PP from Empire Toyota. I paid pure MSRP for XLE minus $5,000 Toyota incentive. I do not know if $1500 cash money able to stack with the current $5k Toyota Discount.

sat4pita. Thanks for sharing that great insight. Just like in life, everything is about timing and right now, not the best but still a good deal in my opinion. Everything you said all makes sense. Still a discount and in my opinion when you compare this vs a used PP.

Well got everything set up for Friday pickup. $5k Cash back now plus the $4502 at tax time makes this a nobrainer. 2020 XLEs with 25k miles are going for $3k more than what I am going to pay for mine with 3 miles, so had to grab it before it is gone. Just have to spend 24 hours on a train to get there, but Cooperstown is just up the road, so will make a little vacation out of the trip.

Market is nuts. In March, bought '21 Prime XLE from Koons Annapolis for $23,700... $19,200 with tax credit. Sold it to Vroom for $27k. They listed it for $30,500. I can't believe someone will pay that for it...

Debating on whether to wait until Jan to do another for a tax deal, or just buy a new '21 off Koons lot for around $25k... A '22 XLE is around $28k.

So you can purchase and sell it within the same tax year and still claim the $4500 tax credit?
