First; Thank you all for helping me understand what the hell happened to my Prius!

I live in New Hampshire and I was driving my 2011 Prius Gen 3 with a BAFX ODB2 unit connected. I was driving it a few days ago and pulling away from a stop light, I felt a big thump and the ABS lights came on, along with the Triangle of death and "CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM" alarm. I was on my way to get my second covid shot, and the car would still move slowly (with virtually no torque, on only the engine's power) so I kept going. Afterwards I took it to the Toyota dealership I purchased it from and 3 days later they told me the 'Intelligent Power Module' had failed. It is covered by a 15 year warranty apparently, so it's getting replaced for free, however, there isn't a single one to be had in the USA and they have no idea when there will be one. They have put me in a 2020 Corolla rental which is a nice gesture.
I asked for DTC codes (knowing the guys who are deeper into this than I, would gobble them up). The DTC code is P0A94 172/557. I have the bulletin (ZE3) which enhanced (extended) the original 8 year / 100,000 mile warranty to 15 years and no limit on mileage... Thanks again, Hope this is meaningful to someone.

Hi all I also have Check hybrid system message on my 2010 Toyota Prius III. I can not get an error code from my ODB2 reader but I can clear the error. the car is working fine the main battery checks out great and the 12 v battery also checks out ok. I also checked the main battery fan all clean. The car only has 53431 miles on it. Any one know of a great Toyota hybrid mechanic in my area DMV DC/ Maryland / Virginia Please let me know

I have two 2010 Toyota Prius III I would say that everyone should install a oil Catch can reservoir kit on your Prius. This will help with cutting down on deposits in EGR (exhaust gas recirculation valve) oil deposits in your air intake system, and inlet valves. My cars seem to have more power and run stronger could just me it fells great.
