Boogers, that's what I was worried about.

Hope they can get you back on the schedule before they burn out all the docs!

Great resource. Thanks. Actually, my hospital is in (Pasco County to be more precise. We're Hillsborough's formerly rural neighbor. :))

Edit to add that I did remember a project that I was saving for my return to work. And I think I might take some vacation. Just gotta figure out what to do and where to go so I can be ready when they call me back. Some so-called "experts" claim that this will be a brief spike. We'll see.

Our numbers are dropping off - at peak, or life will end for all residents before October - depending on which "expert" you listen to and their political motivations.
My community hospital has started a one-stop-COVID shop where residents in the area can be tested for COVID-19, receive the vaccine if they would like and if they test positive be provided the opportunity to receive monoclonal antibody infusions within the hour, in a "Covid ward."
As happens with power companies and utilities during surge periods, our hospital is using some funny talkin ferigners from other states for the infusions, jabs, and nasal torture testing, and when our surge is over with, we'll do likewise.
    Ours are from Kentucky.

I've been kicking my vaca to the right in case other experts are right and an AGW-fueled cat-5 storm starts barreling towards the US....

I still have my three weeks of vacation to take yet this year. We're giving very serious thought to starting it on Saturday, assuming it's ok with the upper echelons here. I'm sure it'll be OK since I was going to be gone anyway. If so, I'll probably change the oil and check the tires Friday and we'll hit the road Saturday. It's been 15 months since my Prime's been out on a long trip. I'll start a new thread for that when the time comes. I think there's probably a corollary to Murphy's Law that says the "all clear" for surgery will probably happen sooner if you're several states away.

Thanks, @ETC(SS). If we're going to get a vaca before I retire, this is the best time. Might not get another chance. And it might be just what I need to take my mind off the disappointment. The good thing is that it doesn't hurt to drive: just to get my leg straight again when I get out of the car. ;)

Vacation is a go. I started a road trip thread. 2nd big trip in the Prime | PriusChat

We've never been to New England. It's time to fix that. We're both pumped! We're going to try to get everything ready today and tomorrow so we can leave Saturday. It's the first trip we've had in decades that wasn't mostly or entirely family or ministry oriented.

Sweet, c'mon up. I just drove up to Massachusetts today. It was finally time to get my dad back out to the beach house. We didn't get to drive anything as nice as a prius prime.

Was just in New England. Went to Vermont. It was so beautiful. Took a nice boat tour of lake Champlain in Burlington.

Lived in Vt many years. Bennington , Arlington, Ludlow, Plymouth.
    Lakes and lakes.
Woodstock is a must see and Quechie Gorge.
Don’t forget the maple syrup candy. Or the awesome cheese factory in Plymouth summer White House for President Coolidge.

When we go we fly into Manchester NH nice airport than Portland Maine for lobsta then Portsmith NH for more of that than up to Woodstock.

    Have fun Jerry!

    Finally!!!
I was rubbing my knee this morning during devotions and feeling pretty despondent. Thinking of calling the doc to see if they had heard anything. Got into my office and the phone rang; it was the doctor's office calling to tell me that the knee replacement is back on. The new date is Sept. 29.

Thanks. We still don't know if the booster is effective, although I'm fairly sure it wouldn't hurt. But I'm probably not eligible yet. Either way, I'll do something that apparently no one else has thought of yet. I'll ask my doctor about it. :D

The nurse who called with my new date said she supposed that the only pre-op thing I'll have to re-do is the COVID test. But I didn't have to do the test before since I'm vaccinated.

i'm shocked, with all the florida hospital horror stories. but i suppose you have to get the income generating stuff open asap.
our local hospital took a serious financial hit last year when elective surgeries were shut down
