I put in coolant. Had the car in maintenance mode waited for the fan to come on. Made sure coolant was filled, maybe 20m of waiting. Put the cap on drove like 500 feet and hot temp gauge on and flashing. Turned around and noticed all the lines are hot and making bubbling noises except the bottom radiator hose which was cold.
    Also had NO heat.

Is this a sign the thermostat went bad? Massive air in system? How do i get the air out? Ive wasted 3 gallons of coolant as it keeps just overflowing out once hot and the cover is back on.
