Do you ever have the VSC and brake light come on after towing your Prius? I've had that happen a few times and wondering if it was just me or if it happens to others. I usually don't get that if I remember to turn off the remote key function after hooking up on the dolly.

Usually when I get that dashboard a lap around the campground clears everything.

I know, I’m an unrepentant iPhone-ist. When I have the most versatile and powerful tool yet invented in my pocket, it’s quite unacceptable to have to endure the hassle of going back to the barn to find a bigger, clunkier, rusty, and dangerous lesser tool for one recalcitrant test. I started using both windoze and Apple when they first hit the market, and one of the great joys of retirement is that I’ve almost completely eliminated one of them from my life. Notwithstanding all that, I did have the wired thing hooked up to my Acer Switch, and didn’t give up til the software failed to detect the device.

I'm not sure how I came across this old stuff, or why I feel the need to respond now, other than to ensure that reality is presented. If anyone doubts post #16, please go to your Gen 2 vehicle, remove the AM2 fuse and then get in the car and try to bring it to life. The car will be DOA. No dash, no moving under battery power, no anything. Sometimes real life gets in the way of what we think we read in a book. See post #8.

Mine is in an almost identical state atm. Left home without realizing ICE didn't start, had some battery left, so it ran fine and I almost made it back home. Only noticed ICE wasn't running after accelerator became pretty unresponsive and couldn't accelerate at all after a minute.
Ran out of battery next to my house and now I'm getting CC100 and P3000, same lights as your pic: Triangle, ( ! ) and VSC. U0100 code disappeared after unplugging 12V for a bit and even got a Ready light after that, but it disappeared after a few start attempts.

    So, still no-go.
Trying real hard to avoid getting towed and having to pay up some exorbitant sum to a mechanic...I do have an official Toyota shop nearby, thankfully.

At first, I thought the 12V was low, like it was when it was colder and car wasn't in use for like 2 or so weeks, so I used a fully charged 12V to trickle charge it, just in case. No change.
I haven't checked the fuses yet, so which ones are the usual suspects to check for? Or anything else worth checking?

Say, what are you using for a code reader that gave you that "CC100" ?

The second position of a DTC is never anything except 0, 1, 2, or 3.

I was curious about the same thing, but I think both Carista and Dr.Prius gave that DTC. Weird. I did kind of dismiss it since Google came up with nothing but this thread and the fact which you mentioned too.

Does either one of them have source code available?

It would be rather interesting to see just how they have both ended up 'decoding' a 16-bit DTC into something with a C in the second position.

For anyone curious, found the cause to my issues...got it towed to a shop and they called pretty quick to tell me the catalytic converter had been cut out.
...got the car back, and it got stolen again a week later. Life is good.

I don't know the story with Carista, but Dr. Prius had an August 2021 update to fix that bug.

I thought Finland was a crime free place to live.
