    Throw down some kitty litter, use a stiff broom/brush and rub it in. It will soak up the oil.
    Then sweep it off.

    I have used kitty litter to clean up the oil, even gear oil.
    Rubbing it in with a broom or your shoes is kind of like using sandpaper.

    now living in an area that can get serious freezing, anytime you are subject to driving in a slushy mess - the melt off from tires and the car's underbody? it soaks into the concrete, expands when it freezes, and does this;

    Our new/used garage will need to be reworked & then sealed to keep the moisture out so that the cracking & peeling is minimized. Driveway too.

    Somebody could make a killing, with a cheap/effective alternative to salt.
