Front seats in my 2013 Prius V get very hot!!!!

    The front seats in My 2013 Prius V suddenly started getting very hot. Almost as if I had the heated seats feature (which I don’t) turned on high. Then it cools down. Later it heats up again. I am concerned that there is an electrical problem causing this, but can’t imagine what would cause it. Anyone else experience this?

    The heated seats in our 2012 v Five switch and work as intended. No ideas on what might be causing what you're experiencing, although a model Five should actually have heated seats with actuation buttons on the middle lower dashboard above and to the left of the power and USB outlets.

    Thanks so much for your reply. I feel like an idiot. I was so convinced that I didn’t have that feature. I had them in my VW Passat that I had before I got my Prius in 2013. I didn’t like the feature and only used it once or twice. When my seats started heating up after owning the car for 8 years, I looked around for controls for heated seats, but didn’t notice the ones you pointed out in your reply. Sure enough, they were both turned on. Not sure how that happened. Since award goes to me!

    why do they cool off if still on, is there a thermostat?
