Steering wheel electronics not functioning

    2011 prius base
    I replaced rack and pinion.
    Cleaned rug gently moved around boxes under seats to clean rug.
    Balanced charged hybrid battery.
    Killed 12v battery
    Oh and interior out getting reupholstered.
    Steering wheel electronics not functioning.
    Horn out along with pads.
    Traction light on.
    Car says lost communication with Steering SW
    Any ideas where to start looking?

    Spiral cable?

    Column wire harness connections to spiral cable?

    Steering switch connections to spiral cable?

    Spiral cable damaged while replacing rack?

    It's possible. The telescoping steering rod made it so that area didn't need to be accessed.
    Looking at which one to buy now.

    Find out if it's the problem or not before buying. OEM is expensive.
