Back in 2010 I replaced my water pump at 50k miles. I ordered a CARDONE one online from rockauto.com with lifetime warranty and installed it.

This year at 155k miles and after 105k miles/11 years later the water pump started leaking from the weep hole. I found the email from my old order at rockauto.com and ordered a free replacement. The claim process was extremely easy and online only. I installed the free water pump and my cost was just $6 to send the old one back. I was always skeptical of lifetime warranties but in this case everything worked fine.

Usually online we read mostly complains but I wanted to share a good experience.

Always buy the lifetime warranty parts from Autozone if you own a Ford LOL. Ask me how I know.

Today, I installed my 5th water pump at 188k mi. Unfortunately, the Cardone Rockauto lifetime warranty of my water pump could not be honored again as the part was discontinued. However, I sent back to Rockauto the defective water pump and they will give me a refund on my original order 14 years ago.

I did not buy an Aisin water pump similar to OEM because warranty was short but I bought the Gates water pump with a new lifetime warranty. I hope I will not have to use it soon.

I usually get OE parts from the dealer. I don't care what the warranty is because I haven't had to use it.

    Maybe that's just me?

Well the OEM water pump lasted just 40000 miles. Anyway, I put an OEM gasket at least.
