Powered Tailgate?

    I want to install powered tailgate.
    I found a retrofit kit on alibaba, and happy to get a UK installer fit it for me, however its only available for the 4th gen prius.

    Can anyone confirm if the 4th gen prius's boot hinges and gas struts are the same as the 3rd Gen ones?

    If not, does anyone know of a retrofit kit for the 3rd gen prius?

    i can't say for sure, but it is a pretty radical redesign, ant fitment could be an issue

    @MSantos posted a how-to here semi-recently IIRC. Can't recall if it was 3rd or 4th gen, but I'd think the principles would be similar.

    Hey, here is the autoease one. for the 2015-2021 modell.

    The forum won't let me post a link because I'm a day old member. Just Google autoease and you'll find the Prius one for the 4th gen model. They seem to be the market leader.

    See if you can make it fit.

    I'd buy one and would be a game changer for me as cannot reach the top of the boot, rendering it near useless to me.
