    HI Folks,
Looking for a little troubleshooting advice:
My car had an open circuit which lead it to have a dead battery one day not at home of course.... After letting CAA (triple A stateside) boost my car to no avail I had it towed to the dealer.
CAA screwed up the boost and the dealer replaced the Main fusible block in the engine bay. They also fixed my open circuit.( Which I believe is the circuit with the blue wire on the big white connector in the fuse box, yes the one that has low voltage and throws P-lock error messages).

since then I get the red triangle of death vsc light, ABS and yellow (!) and codes C1310, C1345, P0A08, P0A09
I have techstream and the manual. I have gone through a few diagnostic decision trees but cant find my problem. My local dealership is useless and cant do anything other then brakes and tires..

    Any ideas would be welcome

Sorry I forgot to mention My Prius is a 2006 base model with 350000 km on it

What were the INF-sub codes in the freeze frame data?

The P0A08 is for DC-DC converter status circuit (basically anything that could affect the converter- 12V battery, cooling system, wiring, or the unit itself)- AND the aux battery voltage drops below 11 volts (or the voltage sense is low? - still possibly wiring).

P0A09 calls out open or short to ground on a couple specific circuits -NODD or VLO(again wiring, the inverter, I suppose possibly the HV ecu).

I recognize the C1310 (just means the brake ECU knows the HV ECU has codes) and the C1345 (brake ECU would like to learn its linear solenoid offset).

As you've got the manual handy, could you fill in what are the detection conditions for P0A08 and P0A09? I'm not near a Gen 2 manual at the moment.

I have yet to see a reverse jump that did not blow at least 2 other fuses in the underhood fuse box, along with the main fusible link.

Hi Everyone thanks for the input.

Here is a little more on the freeze frame data:
    Hybrid Control
    P0A08 detail code 4 264
    P0A09 detail code 3 591
P0A0D detail code 2 350 (this may be a new code or I was so tired I missed it last time_)
    ABS/VSC/TRAC
C1310 detail 156 (no snowflake this round but got this last time)
    C1345
    12V battery reads 12.4V on a multimeter
The inverter/converter seem to be charging the traction battery and the 12V
car seems to drive fine other than the Christmas tree dash board!

When I went through one of the manual diagnostics(page HV122 step 12) I seemed not to be getting 100-140ohms on that NODD circuit. That purple NODD wire from the connector in the engine bay to the HV ECU seems ok (there is continuity)

    Thanks for the help

I'm Also not getting 100-140ohms at the ECU pin to body ground...If that means anything....I'm just a normal guy with a multimeter and time on my side LOL

    HI Folks,
Still haven't found my culprit yet. Any help would be appreciated

I have done more Diagnostics and fixes to no avail!
things I have checked and done:
-Checked and replaced 12v battery and made sure the ground was clean and tight
-Replaced fusible link block on positive battery terminal (new with two new fuses)
-Replaced 100amp fuse block in engine bay
-Check all fuses (visually and with and ohm meter) in engine bay block and under the steering wheel and checked all the relays in the main fuse box
    - tested all relays in the engine room relay block nice person (with ohm meter and continuity with a battery)
    - replaced HV ECU (and did the immobilizer reset thing by jumping the DLC3 tc13 to cg4 for 30mins)
    - check C5 and C6 connectors in the engine bay (and preformed the toyota manual tests for voltage and ohm's) both the nodd and vlo wires have continuity through the connector in c5 connector to the h16 connector in the cabin
    - coolant pumps creates (waves) in reservoir
    - coolant pump connector seems ok
    -hoses seem fine
    - both rad fans seem fine
    - voltage sense wire has continuity from battery connector to the connector junction area underneath ecu (passenger foot well)
    - visual inspection of the harness from the battery all the way up the passenger side to the hv ecu
    -cleaned traction battery fan
    - Converter/inverter produces 13.9V across the battery terminals when the car is in ready
    - Converter /inverter seems to charge the traction battery according to the car's display in the dash (not confirmed via a high voltage meter)

    I Still get P0A08 sub code 264, P0A09 sub code591, C1310, C1345

At this point I might try a new converter/inverter from the scrap yard although mine seems to be charging both batteries fine......
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

one more thing!!!?? In the manual it states the C5-4(NODD)- body ground/ IG-off should be 100-140 ohm's...... I'm getting 139 000 Ohm's on my meter did they forget the k and meant it to be 100k-140k ohm's (I'm reasonably sure I'm reading the meter correct I checked it against known resistors)

    thanks everyone

Update! My car is back on the road!! what a process it has been. Turns out replacing the inverter/converter was the right move. The old one seemed to work but ....replacing it as a final Hail Mary attempt cleared all the codes. A little brake work and and a skid ecu calibration I had not done (did the zero point cal when I changed it but not the linear solenoid initialization ) and she is back on the road. Thanks for all the help here on the forum

    not too bad actually.
    50$ HV ECU
    75$ skid control ECU
    100$ Battery Fusible link block

None of which I actually needed (except to eliminate possibilities)
I am going to resell the parts I took out for what I paid...hopefully

    200$ for an Inverter/converter(from a scrap yard)
50$ for a mini VCI to diagnose stuff
And many hours of pulling my hair out and rolling around in my muddy driveway ;)
