Correct. That's why I separated it into hydraulic braking and Regen" electric motor braking. The extra load on the cv when Regen braking is causing my clicking sound. This has gotten louder and now my hydraulic portion is making odd groaning noises when it cuts off Regen under the 6 or 7 mph. Not sure it's worth fixing at this point axles are $400 each, rotors are warped, ball joints, tie rods should be replaced, and the list goes on

I've changed, Top Mounts, Shockers, Rod Ends, Steering Rack, Track Rod Ends, Control arms, Ball Joints, D Bushes, Drop Links, Brake Discs and Pads! Finally CV Joints or Axels and finally NO NOISE!!!

My car is solid from the front and this has persuaded me to change the rear shocks and rear subframe bushes. Car is SOLID!

I don't expect everyone to do this but I drive about 1000 miles a week and spend alot of time in my Prius and I wanted it good on fuel and super silent.

I'm in the process of Re-Greasing CV Joints on a Prius 3 2011 look at the crap coming out of this, this has to be the worst I've seen this was the gearbox side. The thing is the gearbox gets hot and melts the grease over time which then makes it turn to sh*te as you can see in the photo. The Wheel side weren't too bad but had a bit of play in them he's doing what I did, he's bought 2 complete axles or Driveshafts if you're in the UK. So Ive regressed them and they are ready to go on.

Can't wait to open the old ones up he's buying new both inner and outer joints, I'll do a Video when I fit the new parts to the old shafts/axle.

Did you buy new axles or rebuild a used set? Part number for the rear bushings? I wish you could just buy the lower control arm bushings by themselves.. I was able to on my 04 sienna
